Thousands of jobs are opening up every year in the medical field because of the coming healthcare needs for baby boomers. The healthcare system is preparing by expanding its staff and diagnostic technology.

Physical therapists and physician’s assistants are among the top healthcare jobs that need to be filled by 2020, according to a new infographic by Top Masters in Healthcare Administration. The infographic also details patient characteristics and major concerns for baby boomers, as well as the salary and necessary experience for other top jobs in the healthcare industry.

Infographic: Baby Boomers and Their Healthcare

Seventy-two percent of Baby Boomers have one or more chronic conditions, but the Boomer population is becoming more engaged with self-management of their conditions, according to a new infographic by HealthWorks Collective.

Sixty percent of Boomers are likely to use an app recommended by a doctor and 82 percent of adults who use the Internet research health and wellness information online. The infographic also looks at common diagnoses among Boomers and their perception and utilization of healthcare.
