Study Shows Disconnect Between Medical Home Beliefs and Practices

An observational study by the Rhode Island Department of Health of pediatricians caring for children with permanent hearing loss found that while the pediatricians believed they should be the medical home for these patients, there were gaps in the doctors’ care-coordination practices for these patients.
